iiiii  XML effrots related to femML

ooo

01  MatML This is the material properties specification XML dialect that has a great potential in general but also in particular for femML since it can become a namespace for femML to cover the needs of FEM material properties specification.
02  XSIL. This is the Extensible Scientific Interchange Language from Caltech that set the inspiration for our effort and addresses the numerical data interchange issue from a scientific applications perspective. It also (most importantly) addresses the issue of data visualization through appropriate Java3D tools.
03  FieldML. This is the Field markup language specification that addresses the description time-varying and spatially-varying fields. It is also the effort that contains the MeshML effort for generalized FEM method. It is a part of the Physiome set of languages that the nice folks in New Zealand have developed for many other applications as well.

04

X3D. This is the Extensible 3D Graphics effort that reflects the XMLizing of VRML. VERY usefull for the visual aspect of FEM model representation. Most probable namespace for the visual representation of femML models in the femML 2.xx effort.
